BLACK SUMMER

Let's talk black for a minute here. One of the most remarkable shows of fashion month, for me, was most definitely today's Louis Vuiton show. Ending the role of Marc Jacobs as designer (after 16 years of beautiful creations). And how do you end a story? In black with a lot of memories ofcourse. This is exactly what Marc did for S/S'14. A beautiful show with a lot of recognizable attributes from his previous shows.
 

For example the carousel from the S/S'12 collection, the escalators from S/S'13 show and the beautiful hallways of F/W'13. He used these beautiful objects again, but gave them the most mysterious, classy and sophisticated color of all: black. Not only the whole decor was black, but also the entire ready-to-wear collection was covered with a beautiful black layer. And when you say black, especially with clothes, my heart starts racing. But with this show it didn't only start racing, but it skipped a beat as well. What a lot of amazingness, what a beautiful lot of black. Marc proved to me, once again, black never goes out of style. Simple, elegant and never dull. Let's have a look your self, aren't you convinced to forever and always wear black now?
