Catrice always seemed to be one of the better budget make-up brands. I allready owned a Cartice lipstick but since they enlarged their collection, I decided to try out a new one. This is a matt finish wich is totally new for the Catrice formulas. I just bought this lovely colour today, and I'm allready in love with it.
The formula is matt but doesn't tend to dry out your lips like some matt finished lipsticks tend to do. But be careful though, if you do have dry lips, matt lipstick will always make this seem worse. A tip (for al matt lipsticks) is to hydrate your lips before you go to sleep. This will make sure your lips still look beautiful with matt lipsticks. The colour of the product, is lovely as well. It is called Matt about Pink, but I would rather describe this colour as a bright coral with, more pink than orange, undertones. The colour stays on quite long, but after dinner my lipstick didn't look as beautifull as before my meal. The lipstick kind of went 'crumbling down' but I don't see this as a big disadvantage. I always reaply lipstick after eating something so I do not see a reason why I shouldn't do this right now.
I didn't see much people today, but the people who did see me, allready gave me compliments on my 'amazing lipcolour'. So if you want to 'pop' for a bargain, go pick up this lovely coral lipstick at your local Kruidvat or Trekpleister. Matt about Pink (250) by Catrice!
Today I am going to show you how to create an ombre glitter nail. I created this look earlier for NYE but with these less contrasting colours I figured that this look could also fit perfectly in a normal schoolweek. This look isn't as dificult (but also not as simple) as it looks. The best tip I could give you is, try not to sneeze.. Glitters are very tiny and will be found on places and spots you'd rather not find them in/at/on. Have fun with this step by step tutorial!
Step 1: Get your 'ingredients'. In my case: a pot of black glitter from Etos and OPI in Nein nein nein, OK fine
Step 2: Polish your nails as if always, in my case: 2 layers of nailpolish but do not add the top coat just yet!
Step 3: Add an extra layer of nailpolish or topcoat and don't let it dry completely. Than dip your nail into the pot just as far as you would like the glitter to be. (In my case about 1/3)
Step 4: Take out your nail
Step 5: Take a regular paining brush to wipe of the extra glitter and most important of al, push some glitter from the top of your nail to the bottem of your nail. Do'nt be afraid to 'ruin' anything, your nailpolish will be dry enough!
In this picture you can see the texture it has!
This is the result, apply a layer of top coat to make it shine more and last longer!
I normally wear very simple clothing. I finish my looks with some matching, simple jewelery but sometimes, just sometimes, I'm in the mood for something more. At these moments in the morning, when choosing my outfit and wanting something more than just my regular jewelry, I pick out these lovely earrings. The earrings are lovely for summer, but I also love to wear them with a simple black top and jeans, just to give your look that more 'swing' and 'craziness' it needs every once in a while. When I wear these lovely things in my ears, I always hear them rinkling. This always gives me a classy feeling. I also have this feeling when I'm wearing a lot of bracelets on my wrist. The sound of something rinkling always makes me feel like a rich, business women. I know I can be a bit strange sometimes but I cannot imagine I am the only one feeling like this when wearing jewelry that makes soud, am I? I got these earings at one of my favourite shops in Maastricht called Kyo Ka. If you are ever going to visit Maastricht, make sure you don't miss out on this small boutique with lovely accessories! The shop is owned by a friendly, french, youg woman who is always happy to help you. I never leave this shop without buying something. My advice: if you don't want to spend any money, don't visit this shop. The risk of buying something may be too big..
